The summer ski resort at the tourist village Hintertux is due to its high alpine location difficult to reach. The road to the base is steep, curvy and highly frequented. Hintertux is situated at a distance of 89 km to the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck. The voyage there is most convenient via the Highway A12 exit Achensee- Zillertal, then continue on the national road 171 and 169. From the legendary Schürzenjäger (famous Austrian band) Open-Air Finkenberg solely 13 km need to be covered to get to the desired destination. At the bases parking lots and an underground parking garage (both free of charge) are situated in walking distance (50 – 200m) to the cash office / lift base. Hardly any waiting times at the cash offices and friendly staff make up for the confusing exit from the underground parking garage.
