Ifenlifte Kleinwalsertal – versatility spelled with capital letters!
In fact the 25 km of skiable terrain prove to be very versatile and offer skiers of all ability levels a surprisingly nice array of terrain. The ski resort Ifen (as the name conveys) is nestled into the slopes of the 2228m high Hoher Ifen in the heart of the famous Kleinwalser Valley which can be accessed from Germany only from the north. If you travel there from the south you need to make a little detour via Bavaria / Germany of about 40 km. Take the Autobahn (Highway) A 7 until you reach the highway interchange (Autobahndreieck) Allgäu and then take the A 370 until Waltenhofen and then switch to the national road B19 in direction Obersdorf. The Kleinwalsertal is signposted before Oberstdorf. Just follow the Walserstrasse B19 until you reach Riezlern (1086m). Look out for the signs leading you to Ifen. The ample and free of charge parking lot is located right at the base of the ski resort where a two passenger chair takedsyou into the ski resort.| Final grade: |
