The ski resort around the Hochkar, which rises 1808 meters above sea level, fits the demands of nearly all ability levels. In the test category “families” the Hochkar ski resort is even awarded 5 stars. Next to the parking lots of the “Zagerlbodenlift” a beginners area with a practice slope can be found. All the descents labeled blue (easy) or red (intermediate) are suitable for kids who have some experience in alpine skiing. For all experts among the parents we recommend the four black marked (very challenging) slopes. All the slopes lead down to the same valley. In fact there are only two base stations in the skiing-area. One at the foot of the “Großes Kar (III)” and another at the “Almlift (IV)” lift facility. Hence there should be no great danger of loosing track of your children. Moreover ski vacations in Lower Austria with the whole family are fairly well-priced compared to other skiing regions in Austria (e.g. Salzburg or Tyrol). Consequently the entire family can have lots of fun at the ski resort Hochkar and the stay goes easy on the wallet.
