Resort Review Hochkönig - Snowboarders

Snowboarders at Hochkönig: gorgeous descents but poor connecting slopes!

Evaluation Snowboarders: Hochkönig: Evaluation: 3
With its 25 descents and 4 fun parks or half pipes indicated on the trail map the ski resort at the mountains “Schneeberg”, “Kollmannsegg”, “Wastlhöhe”, “Gabühel”, and “Aberg-Langeck” will make any boarder brim over with enthusiasm. Solely the connecting slopes between the different runs are often very flat so snowboarders will have to unstrap their boards and cover the couple of meters on foot. Especially the trail from “Hinterthal” to “Hintermoos” will probably be quite unpleasant as it is very flat and stretches uphill at times. Novices will enjoy the descent number 4; the skilled boarder should try out the slope number 11 as well as number 13. The ski resort narrowly missed 4 stars in this category. Hochkönig offers excellent slopes but the bad connection to the descents at “Aberg” averts a better grade.
