A first glance at the mountain map is enough to make clear that athletic riders will quickly be underchallenged at the small skiing area „Hochwang“. 20 kilometers are simply not enough to entertain advanced skiers over several days. „Hochwang“ however is well-known among insiders for ist great off-piste descents (of course only with enough snow lying!). Freeriders and snowboarders should definitely check out „Hochwang“. Apart from that a descent over run nr. 5 and then over run nr. 8 is a really nice combination for advanced riders. Should you be staying for more than one day it’s recommendable to check out the neighboring skiing areas „Brambrüesch“, „Feldis“, „Pradaschier“ and „Tschiertschen“ (Ask for information about the skiing resort network „Quattro Plus“ at the local board of tourism!).
