Hochzillertal Hochfügen – The #1 ski region in Zillertal

Fügen can be directly found at the beginning of the Zillertal and is best reachable via the Inntalautobahn A12. The entire journey will approximately take less than 40 minutes starting from Kufstein. Due to the excellent traffic connection the Zillertal ski region is particularly popular among skiers from Bavaria, Germany.
Besides the Spieljochbahn in Fügen you may as well use the gondolas Hochzillertal 1 and Hochzillertal 2 in Kaltenbach in order to quickly get into the ski resort . Another chance to get on the gondola is in Hochfügen on a height of 1,500m (4,921ft) above sea level in a side valley of the Zillertal.
Travelling to Hochfügen make sure you keep an eye on the weather forecast and the current traffic conditions. In case there is a considerable amount of snowfall in Hochfügen, make sure you take snow chains with you as you might not be able to pass through to the ski resort.
All in all, the ski resort offers 77km of trails, whereas 60km are of intermediate (red) or beginners (blue) difficulty level. Close to Hochzillertal-Hochfügen guests may find four other Zillertal ski areas in addition: Mayrhofen, Zillertal Arena, Hintertuxer Gletscher and Spieljochbahnen. Offering a total of 487km of ski-trails, Zillertal is evidently one of the most popular and largest ski areas in the Alpine region.
