The interconnection of the two ski resorts Hochzillertal and Hochfügen caters especially to the intermediate and expert skiers as now a total of 108 km of intermediate level trails is at their disposal. The large quantity of trails, a total of 145 km of skiable terrain, provide excellent conditions for athletic skiers and make this resort worth a stay of several days. Especially recommendable are the slopes beneath the sextuple chairlift C and the quadruple chairlift B. The trail 10 in Hochfügen will thrill especially the skilled among skiers. The black (difficult) trails can also be mastered if one disposes of adequate skiing experience. Our testers were especially fond of the black slope 6 descending from the 2362m high Öfeker Joch. Suitable only for very skilled skiers is the 8 km long Stephan Eberharter Goldpiste to the base in Kaltenbach. Due to the modern lift facilities and the very good array of trails the ski association Hochzillertal / Hochfügen is awarded with our highest mark of 5 stars in the intermediate skier category.
