Resort Review Hohenbogen - Intermediate Skiers
Four intermediate trials are not bad for the Bavarian Forest.

The athletic orientated skier is given a choice out of four intermediate trails (“Sonnenhang”, FIS trails SL and RS and ”Neuer Hang”),where he can not only enjoy the marvelous view of the upper Bavarian Forest at nice weather. The level of the slopes is well suited for advanced skiers. Though the use of the black trail at the “Schönblickhang” can only be advised for those, who don’t mind scratched skies. The bump run looks tempting from the top, but with normal snow quantity you have to watch out for big rocks and even small trees in the lower part of the slope. The relatively old ski lift facilities are also a drop of bitterness, because they’re easily overtaxed with quickly transporting a great number of visitors up hill. Of course what is offered at the ”Hohen Bogen” can’t be compared to those of the big ski resorts in the Alps. But for those who don’t want to undertake the long journey into the Alps and who care more for avalanche safety than for a great choice of slopes, will surely feel at home at the “Hohen Bogen”.
