The Kaunertaler glacier will probably not live up to the expert skiers expectations. Racers will find of course one of few training possibilities in summer but there is no difficult trail to be found and the intermediate trail is only open when snow is sufficient. Also the relatively short trails and the lacking gondolas and chairlifts are to be criticise. Worthy of praise are the many permanent slalom and giant slalom circuits. We noticed that these were frequented quite often by the athletes. However a bump run is no where to be found.
