The insider tip among the Tyrolean glaciers...

… is situated at the end of beautiful rough Kaunertal (Kauner valley). Even from a distance the Weißseespitz (3535 meters) above the Kaunertaler glacier is striking! The narrow glacier road leades visitors comfortably to an altitude of 2750 m above sea level and thus right to the glacier ski resort. The voyage there is most recommendable via the Inntal highway A12. Exit at Landeck and turn into the Kaunertal (Kauner valley) at the Landecker tunnel. A toll gate must be passed at the roads entrance and therefore waiting times can occur. However the glacier road can be travelled on without charge with a valid ski ticket. After passing by the impressive Gepatsch – dam one gets directly to the parking lots free of charge in walking distance to the cash offices.
