The reason why Kitzbühel has not obtained 5 stars in the snowboarder category is the remote location of the snow-park at the Kitzbühler Horn. In order to reach the snow-park one has to either walk across the entire Kitzbühel village or take one of the shuttle buses there. An excellently equipped funpark integrated into the ski resort as can be found for instance in Schmittenhöhe or Zell am See is not provided by Kitzbühel. But those who are not in desperate need of a snow-park will find excellent boarding conditions. The backcountry skiing is extraordinary and offers unequalled opportunities for those who love powder and pristine slopes. The trails in the entire ski resort are wonderfully broad so skiers and snowboarders surely won’t get in each others way. However those who have not yet obtained confidence on the snowboard will find this ski resort problematic. But novices who have already improved their skills will spend unforgettable days in Kitzbühel.
