19 km of intermediate terrain!

A total of 40 km of skiable terrain is at the disposal of skiers and boarders at the Kitzsteinhorn ski resort. 19 km are of intermediate level and depending weather and slope conditions can become quite demanding. Free style enthusiasts can test their skills in the boarder park at the glacier plateau and on trail 32 in Maiskogel. Unfortunately there is no connecting lift between the Maiskogel subarea and the Kitzteinhorn subarea. Furthermore the day pass includes only one ascent from the base into the ski resort. Therfore those wanting to change from the Kitzsteinhorn subarea to the Maiskogel subarea can do so only once a day. Ambitious skiers and boarders will miss a black (difficult) slope. But still the Kitzsteinhorn offers quite some diversion and pleasure also due to the snow-guarantee there. No other ski resort in Salzburg can really live up to the Kitzsteinhorn where snow-guarantee is concerned.

Nice wide slopes for carving. But mostly blue and red slopes. Black slopes were not yet open at the start of the season in October.
