Krippenstein – freeride spot in Upper Austria!
At the South-Western tip of Upper Ausria right at the brim of the Salzburger Land lies Krippenstein (609 – 2100m). It is easily accessible due to its base being quite low. From the North take the A1 and exit at Regau where you continue on the national road B145 in direction Gmunden/ Bad Ischl. Follow the B145 until the B166 and the base station Obertraun is signposted. From the West exit the A10 at Golling an der Salzach and drive via Abtenau, Russbach at the Gschütt pass and Gosau in direction Hallstätter See. From the East we recommend the A9. Exit at Lieyen and drive via Taupliy, Bad Mitterndorf and Bad Aussee to the Hallstätter See where the ski resort is signposted. The parking lot at the base station is large and free of charge. A total of 11 groomed trails of easy and intermediate level and 30 km of off-piste terrain accessible via 3 gondoals, 1 chair lift and two tow lifts are the fun facts at Krippenstein.| Final grade: |
