Advanced skiers will deinitely be delighted by what they are offered at „Kronplatz“. In this category the resort hase more than earned ist title „No. 1 resort in South Tyrol“. All 12 category red slopes are relatively challenging and particularly the base area descent scores with its over-avarage length. The 2.275 meters high „Kronplatz“, as its nicknames „Gupf“, „Nockerl“, „Bald Head“ already indicate, lies completely above the timberline. You’ll hardly find another mountain offering a such spectacular 360 degree panorama view of Alpine giants. From the mountain’s peak plateau you get to see the Alpine world’s “Who is who?” . From the mountain top you can descend almost into all directions. Only the western side of the mountain is not skiable. Noteworthy in this category are the runs “Arndt” (22) and “Furcia” (12). The newly installed ski-lift-facilities at the “Kronplatz” only offer the latest standard. Unfortunately there, even for very short distances, only exist gondolas. The permanent taking-off and putting-on of the skis will probably annoy some of the skiers.
