The Ski Resort
About 23 km southeast of Chambéry lies Allevard with its 35 km large downhill network. Divided into all difficulty levels, 16 easy and very easy, 7 medium and 4 difficult downhill runs, the slopes provide variety and let every skier find the right one for himself. You can enter the ski area in Malatrait, Grand Paul, Super Collet or Pré Rond. Beginners are particularly comfortable in the Malatrait and Grand Paul areas, while more experienced winter sports enthusiasts prefer the more demanding pistes at Pré Rond.
Snowboarders and freestylers will find a fun park with rails and jumps, where the pros can show each other their jumps and tricks, while the hungry snowboarders are already waiting on the special boardercross to race wild.
Extreme sportsmen or fans of untouched nature will appreciate the numerous freeride tracks. Deep snow as far as the eye can see, mixed with sunshine and a magnificent view. This is what a downhill run must look like.

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 650 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in France is 819 m. The high point of the ski resort is located at an elevation of 2,100 m.
- Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 121 cm at summit elevation and 64 cm at the base.
