What was most striking in the French ski resorts was the bad après ski compared to the après ski in Austria. In some ski resorts (for example Les 7 Laux in the Département Isère) one had to really search to find a lodge that sees to the skiers needs. But even where après ski is concerned Les 3 Vallées makes a positive exception. There are an adequate number of lodges on the slopes and especially at the bases the skiers and boarders are provided with excellent French cuisine. However food and beverages are very expensive in “Les 3 vallées. But the exclusive French flair makes up for it. Val Thorens should be your destination in the evening, as most pubs and discos are situated there (but are very expensive!!)
