With its three valleys, 200 lift facilities and a total of 600 km of skiable terrain „Les Trois Vallées” is the largest interconnected ski resort in the world. It is situated in the heart of the French Alps, in the Département Savoyen. Coming from the south the voyage to Troi Vallées can be done via the Highway A41. But as highways in France have ridiculously expensive toll fees (about 10 E per 100 km) we recommend the voyage via the N90 running parallel to the highway to Albertville. From there the N90 even consists of two lanes which take you directly to Moûtiers which is the entrance to the ski resort. From the north it is most recommendable to travel via Geneva (Swiss) along the N201 to Annecy and from there on the via the N508 to Albertville. The skiresort has with Courchel, La Tania, M´ribel, Brides-Les-Bains, Les Menuires, Val Thorens and Orelle seven large base stations. In all of these villages large parking facilities can be found so the ski resort can be comfortably accessed. When the weather is bad we recommend not to enter the ski resort in Val Thorens as Val Thorens is with its 2300 m above sea level the highest winter sports location in Europe.
