Striking in nearly all French ski resorts is the fact that they cater in a special way to beginners. Also in “Les 7 Laux” the easy trails are predominantly situated around the bases. Therefore easy (blue) trails and practice lifts are accessible for all beginners in Alpine winter sports without forcing them to having to master more difficult trails. For totally inexperienced skiers the practice lift “Les Blanchons” in Pipay is very recommendable. At all three bases the so called “Zones Débutants” are situated. In those special beginners areas fast skiing or boarding is prohibited. With help of the practice lifts the first hours on skis are perfectly spent there. Also advantageous is the fact that the trails are calssified in 4 levels of difficulty. Apart from the blue, red and black trails there are green trails which mark transfer trails and practice slopes. In “Les 7 Laux” seven green (very easy) and eight blue (easy) trails are at the beginners disposal. All these facts result in excellent 4 stars in the beginners category.
