Two category black runs make professional training at the “Lofer” resort possible. |

First of all one has to say that “Lofer” is definitely not a Pro or teamskier resort. Already a brief look at the mountain map discloses that a category blue and red runs dominate the resort. However, the two category black slopes 10 and 12 (see mountain map) are two pretty demanding runs. For a quick side-trip “Lofer” is absolutely alright for a very skilled skier. Unfortunately all black runs can only be reached by t-bar lifts, which get pretty steep in some places. It’s of no avail to look for permanently installed training or chronometer runs at the “Lofer” resort. Thanks to its two category black slopes, however, the skiing area fully earns its two stars in this category coming within a whisker of getting three stars.
