Small ski resort in the north of Salzburg.

The Resort „Loferer Almbahnen“is located only a few kilometres south of the Austrian-German border. The rather easy and toll free northbound approach to the ski area takes you via “Inzell” or “Bad Reichenhall” and the federal highway “B178” towards “Lofer”. Southbound, the easiest way to get to “Lofer” is to take the federal highway “B311” via “Saalfelden”. The “Lofer” ski resort provides several parking facilities, which are at the most 800 metres away from the base station of the ski lift facility. Should the parking space directly at the base station of “Lofer Bahn 1” be occupied, just park your car at one of the other parking lots and hop on the comfortable and child-friendly ski shuttle. The ski resort offers 46 kilometres of diverse trails. With only 13 ski lift facilities the resort, however, is rather small.
