Great beginner lifts at all bases!

Valuation Beginners:

Novice skiers and boarders are excellently catered to as great beginner lifts are at their disposal at every base. At the “Eagle Lodge” the “Eagle Platter” takes the skiers and boarders up the easy practicing slope. At the “Canyon Lodge” two tow lifts “Poma and “Heimo’s Express” and the triple chair “Chair 7” give access to the easy terrain “Hänsel” and “Gretel” (see trail map). The entire terrain above the “Canyon Lodge” is dominated by very easy descents (in the USA marked green). We especially recommend the trails “Round Robin”, “Spring Canyon” or “Round About”. Just as exemplary is the beginner’s area at the base at the “Main Lodge”. The quadruple “Discovery Chair” takes the winter athletes to the practicing slopes “Sesame Street” and Sesame Street West”. Unfortunately the descents from Mammoth Mountain Peak are predominantly of very difficult and only few of intermediate level. We therefore recommend all skiers and boarders to get some snow sliding experience before venturing into the higher areas of the ski resort. Due to the excellent beginner areas at all bases and the fact that easy terrain like “Easy Rider” and at the “Goldrush Express – 10 Chair” range up to the middle stations of main lifts, Mammoth mountain is awarded “Top for beginners” and receives the excellent mark of 4,5 stars in this category!   Read the whole test report ...
