„Meran 2000“ – Skiing at the heart of South Tyrol!

„Meran 2000“ belongs to the skiing circle “Ortler Skiarena”, which includes 15 skiing resorts in West Tyrol. With 40 kilometers of slope “Meran2000” is one of the smaller resorts in the southern Alps, but, apart from the resort “Sulden”, the largest one in the skiing circle “Ortler Skiarena”. The easiest way to reach “Meran” by car is the “Brennerautobahn” A 22. Leave the autobahn at the exit “Bozen” and follow the highway to “Meran”. An alternative route leads you via the “Reschenpass” and through the wonderful “Vinschgau”. That’ll take a little longer, but it’ll save you the toll for the the “Brenner” and the Italian autobahn. From “Meran” a small road leads to “Hafling”, which is located at about 1300 meters. From there the new 8-passenger gondola, located only a few steps away from the large parking area, will take you up to the skiing area. An alternative “entrance” to the resort is the old ropeway gondola at “Senna”. This is particularly recommendable should the roads be snow-covered. Entering the area at “Senna” you can avoid the steep mountain pass road to “Hafling”.
