In contrast to the great skiing resorts in the „Dolomites“ , located in the east of Southern Tyrol, the “Ortler” skiing arena, located in the west of Southern Tyrol, only offers 5 to 40 kilometers of slope.”Meran2000” has 40 kilometers of category blue and red runs, ideal for families. Families with children can definitely spend a more-day-trip there without getting bored. To advanced riders we only recommend a one-day- trip. With enough snow on the ground freeriders can also have a nice day at the “Meran” resort. To make a long story short: “Meran2000” is a nice and cozy little resort in one of the sunniest regions of the Alps. Should you prefer riding in a stunning surrounding to many kilometers of slope you will definitely have a great time at the “Meran” resort.
