The Mölltaler Glacier is the only glacier ski resort in Carinthia, and reaches up to a total of 3122 meters above sea level. In combination with an outstanding view of the mountains Großglockner (the highest peak of Austria - 3798 m) and Großvenediger (3666 m) summer skiing becomes quite an experience. From the north the glacier ski resort is most comfortably accessible by taking the “Taurenautobahn” (Tauern- highway) A10, exit Spittal. Then continue on the main road B106 until you reach Flattach where you can follow the signs to the glacier ski resort (7km away from Flattach). If you come from the west it is best to use the main roads B100 and B106. If you have a bit more time and if you like mountain passes with great panoramic views we recommend to drive along the so-called "Großglockner Hochalpenstraße" (min. 26 EUR / day). In walking distance to the base station of the cablecar Mölltaler Gletscher Express large parking areas are at the visitors disposal. If all parking lots are occupied a shuttle bus takes you to the base station for free.
