Since 2001 a comfortable triple chair lift can be found at Mt Dobson. Still the ski resort is much less frequented than the famous resorts around Queenstown or Mt Hutt. Very skilled skiers won’t find a lot of challenging terrain and are therefore better off in other resorts! For families and novice skiers however Mt Dobson is the perfect destination as it provides the largest novice area in New Zealand and this very unique atmosphere of tranquillity and familiarity. For the Foote family, who have put so much effort into the making and the maintenance of the ski resort, we wish that more winter sports fans grow aware of the virtues of this pretty resort so it can stay in family hands for the years to come.
