One of the most beautiful but also one of the most demanding ski resorts in Austria

The ski arena Nassfeld near Hermagor has several superlatives to offer: With 110 kilometers of slopes, it is the largest ski area in Carinthia, the Millennium Express is one of the longest cable cars in the Alps with a length of 6001 m, and the 2.2 km floodlit slope is one of the longest illuminated slopes in Europe.

For athletic and professional skiers, few ski resorts offer a comparable experience. To be able to ski down challenging red and black slopes for a whole day is something that, apart from the Nassfeld ski arena, only Obertauern in Salzburger Land can offer.

    Never again Nassfeld
Too many people, capacity of the lower gondola too low, many outdated lifts, many outdated huts, we didn't even have apres ski because it apparently started much later

Unbelievable waiting time - 2 hours from ticket purchase to mountain station
The ski area itself is very nice, but the waiting times for the millennium express are unbelievable, ticket purchase at 8:30, turnstile (1st, at the bottom!) at 10:19, at the top around 10:30 - and... Read complete review

Too many egoists on the slopes
I've been skiing for 40 years, but nothing like this has ever happened to me. We were here during the energy vacations and were surrounded by Czechs, Slovenians, Slovaks and Croats. Once our son 12... Read complete review

Lots of snow and empty slopes
We were for the first time at Nassfeld and certainly not the last time. Was nothing going on during the week. There is really brutal much snow. Mega panorama. Corona rules are also easy to follow

Great skiing area with great topography
Overall very good impression. Great varied slopes, most of them relatively demanding and crisp red - but actually no black slopes - for beginners and pure pleasure skiers a little bit less blue slo... Read complete review

The waiting time is a disaster
The waiting time on the Millennium Express is a disaster. Minimum 50 min waiting time until you reach the Gondl, then another 15 min lift ride. So already more than an hour before you make your fir... Read complete review

Totally unsuitable for families with young children! There are no areas for bobsleigh, games etc. which are not ski slopes at the same time and are therefore also frequented by ski Rowdies at a... Read complete review
