Families are also catered to in Obergurgl / Hochgurgl. Kids until 8 years of age ski for free. Reductions are available for kids until 16 years of age. Two ski school one in Hochgurgl the other in Obergurgl provide programs for both young and old. The kids-park Boboland in Obegurgl caters especially to the very young as they are introduced to skiing in a playful and fun manner. However parents should not let their kids ski on their own as they could loose orientation on the 110 kilometres of skiable terrain. But together with the parents the many easy slopes are easily mastered. Hochgurgl is preferable as more easy trails are to be found there. Especially the terrain around the Wurmkogel is very suitable for snow-sports loving families.
