Ovronnaz is situated at the entrance to the Valais valley, right between Sion and Martiny on an open and wonderfully sun-drenched mountain terrace at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level. Ovronnaz is most comfortably accessible via the highway A9. Exit the highway at number 24 at Riddes and continue in direction Sion, Brig and Leytron. Now follow the signs and drive up the serpentines to the mountain terrace 1400 meters above sea level, where you find the small village Ovronnaz. In the event of snowy and icy weather conditions you certainly need winter tires or better snow chains to master the serpentines without danger. In addition to the skiing-area Téléovronnaz, Ovronnaz provides many other recreational facilities which will make your stay in Ovronnaz unforgettable. The spa “Thermalp” where visitors can bathe in warm curative water, hiking trails that lead through winter- wonder- land and the 25 km long cross-country skiing trail for instance. The parking lots of the skiing-area are situated next to the base station. If you don’t succeed in getting a place for your car you can take the ski bus which is free of charge.
