Resort Review Ovronnaz - Intermediate Skiers

20 kilometers of intermediate level terrain!

Evaluation Intermediate Skiers: Ovronnaz: Evaluation: 4
Intermediate skiers who don´t mind smaller ski resorts with no more than 30 kilometers of groomed terrain and who prefer a dazzling mountain scenery to a great array of descents, will be very pleased in Ovronnaz. Although two thirds of the slopes are of intermediate level (earmarked blue) most runs are not very challenging. Only the two black slopes number 8 and 2 challenge even very good skiers. Ovronnaz belongs to the smaller ski resorts of Valais. On the other hand Ovronnaz provides a breathtakingly beautiful scenery and a unique view of the highest mountains of Switzerland and France. We recommend skilled skiers to ski down the 2500 m high Tsantonniere peak via the intermediate terrain 4, 3 and 1 to the base station Ovronnaz which is 1000m below the starting point. Our result: Ovronnaz obtains 4 stars in the category “Advanced skiers” which is a pretty good result for such a small ski resort.

View to the chair lift B. Normally you don´t have to wait for long at the lift facilities.
View to the t-bar lift D and the fun park beyond it.
Ther are some pretty demanding sections in Ovronnaz.
For beginners and carving skiers: The very broad, blue marked slope number 7.
Red marked slope number 6 (please check the trail map)
