Park City – from a mining town to the host of the Olympic Games! |
| Park City used to be a silver-mining town. The end of the silver – boom in the 50s almost swiped Park City from the maps. 1963 a former mining track was turned into a ski lift. And at the very latest since the year 2002, when Park City hosted the Olympic Games, the ski resort is world famous. A further advantage of the rather young resort: it takes only 40 minutes to get from the Salt Lake City Airport to Park City. We recommend to travel there via Interstate 80 direction Ogden / Provo, exit at 145. Follow the signs to the UT-224 to Park City where you can park your car on one of the free parking lots at the base. |
