If you have a look at the trail map you can immediately see that the ski resort absolutely fits the demands of families and beginners. Advanced skiers however won´t stay long at the Rossfeld. At best a three or four hour stay is recommendable, as that’s sufficient time to discover the entire ski resort. The only intermediate level runs can be found next to the “Großer Lift” (big lift) and at the beginning of the 5km long descent down to Oberau in the valley. These ad up to a total of 800 meters of intermediate terrain. Moreover if you take the descent down to Oberau you have to take the bus to get back to the skiing-area. Unfortunately there´s no lift facility to bring back skiers and snowboarders. If you want to take the bus, be sure you have bought the combi-ticket to use lift facilities AND bus.
