Savognin: 80 kilometers (50 miles) of trails for all ability levels!
The ski resort Savognin lies on a transit route in the heart of the Surses valley, between the Tiefencastel and Julier and Septimer passes in the beautiful Swiss canton of Graubünden. The resort's seven ski tows and three chair lifts can move up to 13,700 ski and snowboard fans up its mountain every hour. The chair lifts take you up the mountain in three steps – from the base at 1200m, all the way up to Piz Martegnas at 2670m. The mountain itself is first rate and the view over the ski area below Piz Cartas (2713m) from the peak is incredible. The resort plays host to a total of 80 kilometers (almost 50 miles) of trails, 10k of which are difficult, 37 intermediate and 33 easy. To get there by car, take the A 13 toward Chur (exit at Thusis Süd). From there follow the signs to Tiefencastel and then take the N 3 the rest of the way to Savognin.| Final grade: |
