With only one category black slope, one, at first glance, could think that professional skiers won’t find satisfaction at „Schladming“. However, several of the category red runs are pretty demanding, so that even very skilled skiers should find their challenge there (e.g. The “FIS Abfahrt 3”). Another positive aspect are the demandingly groomed bump runs, that are definitely addressed to pro-riders and their high skills. Also a great plus: the option to switch over to neighboring mountains via the existing ski area interconnections and check out the slopes there. Only disadvantage to mention in this context is the missing of separate “training-only” areas. Despite the lack of category black slopes, highly skilled skiers will still have a great time at “Schladming”.
