Schmittenhöhe - a Jewel in the Salzburger Land

The famous ski resort „Schmittenhöhe“ is situated right by the tourist village Zell am See 6 km from Kaprun. Salzburg is only 80km away. From the north the ski resort is easily and toll free accessible via the B20 to Reichenhall (still in Germany) and then continue on the B178 and B311 via Lofer to Zell am See. Alternative voyages there are via Salzburg. From the South the ski resort is unfortunately only accessible via the Felbertauerntunnel which is reliable to a tollfee or the Großglockner high alpine road. The most convenient entrance to the ski resort is in Schüttdorf as large parking lots in walking distance to the bases are situated there. Those wanting to park their cars in Zell am See will have to take a shuttle bus to the base as the parking lots are 2 km from the ski resort entrance.
