With 12 kilometers of category red slope 80% of the skiing resort „Rotwand“ belong into the category „medium difficulty“. The most entertaining run is probably the 3500 meter long base area descent (Nr.3). The two category black descents down to the valley are ideal for fans of steep runs and the category red run „Porzen“ (Nr.5) is predestined for carvers. Would the resort offer a few more kilometers of slope in general and a few more category red runs in particular the resort would get a better ranking in the catgory „Advanced“. Should you be looking for more alternatives to what you’re offered at „Rotwand“ you should take the free ski shuttle (Every 15 minutes!) to the neighboring resort „Helm“, that has a few more demanding slopes to offer.
