The skiing resort located between the South Tyrolean „Obereggen“ and „Predazzo“ in the „Trentino“ is one of the best boarder areas in the Alps. The snowpark at the „Obereggen“ lift (Nr. 25) is a highlight for every freestyler. At 400 meters, artificial snowmaking available, you’ll find 4 kickers, eight boxes, among them a rainbowrail as well as a boarder’s cross. Alongside the „Toler“ run (Nr. 8) a 80 meters long half pipe is shaped. It has a breadth of about 20 meters and therefore almost has contest dimensions. What we particularly liked about the fun park is the fact that it is devided into different levels of difficulty so that even beginners are able to practice there. Freeriders will however have to dig around a little bitt o find the best off-piste spots. To those freeriders who have an eye on the avalanche situation we recommend the tree free slopes at the „Passo Feudo“ (where run Nr. 32 and Nr. 31 meet). Another plus oft he resort are the numerous comfortable chair lifts. Even transitions paths are very seldomly found at the resort, so that the board has hardly ever to be taken off. As the resort „Ski Center Latemar“ passes all test criteria with flying colors, we decided to award it with full five stars in this category.
