Resort Review Snowbird - Experts

An expert`s dream come true!

Evaluation Experts: Snowbird: Evaluation: 5
Snowbird is an experts’ dream come true. Pretty much all lifts access demanding “black” terrain which amount to 1/3 of all descents. Very skilled skiers should definitely pay the extra fee for the Aerial Tram as the terrain accessed is beautiful and challenging and will definitely leave you breathless. An extraordinary skiing experience is provided when snow cover is abundant, meaning when first tracks can be drawn through waist high powder (no exception by the way). The US and Canada are famous for tree-skiing. Snowbird of course is no stranger in the tree skiing department either. We can especially recommend the terrain made accessible by the “Aerial Tram” like the “Regulator Johnson” (long tree-free descent), the “Silver Fox” (diverse descent with few trees) or the “Dalton`s Draw” (steep terrain with lots of trees). In order to get to the “Thunder Bowl” deboard the “Gad 2 Lift” to the right. Only few skiers venture into these grounds. The Snowpark is also to be found in that part of the resort and does live up to any freestylers expectations. Also located there is the super-challenging descent which demands the expert skiers to overcome 650 height meters in steep terrain. Our only possible conclusion for Snowbird in the expert category: 5 stars, the highest award.
