Solitude - an insider tip! |
| „Nomen est Omen“ in friendly Solitude amidst the gigantic Wasatch Mountains in the Big Cottonwood Canyon east of Salt Lake City. Mass tourism, and therefore waiting times at the lift facilities is inexistent in this small ski resort that bares great resemblance to European resorts. Skiers have discovered Solitude as early as in the 1950s but lift facilities have been constructed much later in the 1970s and 80s. Visitors to Solitude cherish the ski resorts friendly atmosphere and the proximity to Salt Lake City Airport (only a 40 minute car-ride). We recommend to travel there via Interstate 80 East. Leave the highway at exit 117 and continue on Interstate 215 south. Leave the freeway at exit 6 and follow the UT 190. From there Solitude and Brighton are signposted. |
