A ski resort worth its weight in travel time!

The ski resort Speikboden is located in South Tyrol, an autonomous province in northern Italy. The fastest way to get there by car is to take the Brenner autobahn. Exit at Brixen and head toward Bruneck through the Puster Valley. Just before you get to Bruneck, begin following the signs directing you north to the Tauferer Ahrntal. For more detailed directions, please visit the ski resort's website. You aren't likely to have trouble finding a parking spot at Speikboden. A very large parking lot is located directly at the entrance. On the day of our tests, that lot was less than three-quarters full. Should you decide not to drive there, or if you are staying in one of the nearby villages, we recommend taking advantage of the complimentary shuttle service. The 'ski bus' is free for all those in possession of a valid ski pass and runs from 08.00 until 18.00. Exact running times can be found on the homepage under 'SKIBUS'.
