Ski paradise St. Anton!

Annotation: St. Anton is a subarea of the Ski Association Ski Arlberg. The grading in the context of this report applies to the entire Ski Arlberg. But this report contains specifically information on the subarea St. Anton. Detail information on the subarea Lech-Zürs (accessible by free shuttle bus) can be obtained in the separate Lech-Zürs report. St. Anton is known to have snow guaranty due to its altitude of up to 2811 m above sea level. Therefore skifun is normally possible late into spring. St.Anton am Arlberg is most conveniently accessible via the Inntalautobahn (Inntal highway). The ski resort is announced on the highway signs and is quite easily to be found. After exiting the highway there are only a few km on the splendidly constructed road to be covered. For those wanting to access the resort from the west should think about whether to pay the expensive toll for passing through the Arlberg tunnel or whether to exit the highway earlier to avoid the tunnel. Where parking is concerned it is recommendable to park the car at the Rendl-Bergbahnen base. Parking there though is with costs. The parking lots are in short walking distance to the gondolas. But the distance can also be covered by using the free shuttle bus. The ski resort disposes of 17 chairlifts and 5 gondolas. The 18 tow lifts are solely connecting lifts or for exercise purpose.
