Trail Map St Johann in Tirol

The Ski Resort

On the slopes at St. Johann in Tirol in the Kitzbühel Alps, intermediate skiers as well as beginners and families in particular, but also more athletic skiers will get their money's worth.

Beginners are at home in the lower bits of the resort. All base stations are easily accessible via blue runs. Eichenhofabfahrt 1 runs to the new gondola's base station. Pointenabfahrt leads you on to Metzgerkreuz-Abfahrt or Baumooshang and down to the main cash desk or Baumoos lift, and Oberndorf base run takes skiers and snowboarders back to the base station of Bauern Penzing.

Intermediate skiers take the red runs from Harschbichl, 1,700 metres (5,577 ft) above sea level. The runs Harschbichlabfahrt, Lacknerabfahrt, and Eichenhofabfahrt 2 or St. Johann Sportivabfahrt take you to ski tow Eichehof 1's top station or Jodlalm chair lift's base station. If you take Harschbichlabfahrt along gondola Harschbichl 2, you'll get to its mid station. The runs Penzing-Hochfeld and Penzing end at Penzing chair lift's base station.

The highlight for sportive skiers and snowboarders, however, is the black run Saureggabfahrt. This FIS trail starts at gondola Bauernzenzing's top station, and goes all the way to its base station. At the ski cross movie run by chair lift Hochfeld 2 you get to record a souvenir video of your descent to show to your friends and family at home.

On Mountain Dining

Harschbichlalm at 1,700 metres above sea level features the best view over the region. Furthermore, delicious regional cuisine gets you perfectly ready for your next descent. At Gasthof Pontenhof by Jodlalmlift traditional Tyrolean dishes get treated to a new interpretation. The nice restaurant with its cosy winter garden and panoramic view invites you to relax and enjoy.

Angerer Alm has a more classic take on typical Tyrolean fare such as Kaiserschmarrn and Speckknödel. Everything is cooked using regional ingredients from own dairy, herbary, or produce from surrounding farms.
