While snowboarding is prohibited in neighbouring “Deer Valley”, the makers of “The Canyons” made a great effort to cater in particular to the snowboard target group! The “Progression Park” at the “Painted Horse Trail” features small obstacles for all freestyle-novices. The “Sun Peak Express” takes intermediate boarders to the “Respect” terrain park which boasts some larger obstacles, for instance especially designed “Staircase Rails”, quarter-pipes and numerous jumps and boxes. For details see www.ridecanyons.com . But “The Canyons” does not only come up with great terrain parks. Free ride aces also get their moneys worth! Pretty much every lift accesses beautiful ungroomed terrain. The most challenging runs in the free ride department can be found in the “Murdock Bowl” (details see expert category), least challenging are the trails down to the valley from the “Flight of The Canyons” mountain station
