“The Remarks” as it is also called among boarders is the youngest ski resort around Queenstown (the first lift opened 1985). Due to the excellent freeride descents in the “Shadow Basin” and the top-notch fun park in the “Sugar Bowl”, “The Remarks” has gained quite a reputation among snowboarders and freeriders. Skilled winter athletes that prefer the groomed to the ungroomed terrain are better off at “Coronet Peak ski resort” as there are more diversified groomed slopes to be found. However the “The Remarks” with its three modern chairlifts is among the largest and best ski resorts in New Zealand.
