The ski resort at a first glance might strike unskilled skiers as overwhelming and too demanding. However they are mistaken. Also beginners can spend some beautiful und unforgettable days in Tigne, if they choose their slopes wisely. The area at the Aguille Percée above Tigne Le Lac is the largest interconnected area which features mostly easy terrain and is thus highly recommendable for less skilled skiers. The slopes there are not earmarked green, (a French sub-category for "very very gentle terrain") therefore beginners should not be total newcomers to snows-ports to make the most of the slopes at the Aguille Percée. For all those who have never stood on skis or board before Tignes offers an extraordinary service: Practicing lifts are located at all bases and can be used for free (!). Thus beginners can acquire ski or boarding basics until it actually pays off to purchase a lift ticket.
