Love at first glance!

We`re letting the cat out of the bag: Tignes receives best results in the expert category as well. No matter in which direction you glance there is an abundance of pristine white terrain that just awaits to be conquered by powder lovers. There is even a designated free-ride area: "Le Spot". Also the groomed terrain promises diversity and challenge! The most difficult trails in Tigne are certainly "Silène" at the Marais-Chair and "Sache" which leads from the L`Aiguille de Percée peak (2748m) right down to Tignes les Brévières (1550m). Sache requires that 1000 meter difference in altitude be overcome and is certainly a must ski in Tignes. Further recommendable difficult slopes are "Trolles" and "Companules" and the ungroomed "Paquarettes" which all start at Tovières (2704m).
Ambitious racers should focus on the lower part of Col du Palet where they can test their skills in the "stade de slalom", a permanent racing track (which is however liable to charges ) . Skiers and boarders who think the winter is way to short can prolong the skiing season at "La Grande Motte" (3456m) where some winter lovers can spend snowy moments on the slopes even during summer. The Glacier is made accessible by the funicular from Val Claret. Our conclusion: Tignes is an expert skiers dream come true, there is nothing left to be desired. And who ever wants to top that can purchase a lift ticket for the "Espace Killy for a surcharge, and access also the extraordinary terrain in Val d`Isère.
