Exquisite skiing in France!

The ski resort “Espace Killy“ ( named after Jean-Claude Killy ) which interconnects the ski resort Tignes (2100m) and Val d’Isère (1850m) is known far beyond the boarders of France. The outback possibilities are almost legendary by now. “Espace Killy” features 300 km of groomed terrain. In order to enjoy all slopes of “Espace Killy” it is necessary to purchase the combination-ticket. This test report refers only to the Tignes ski resort. Tignes is composed of three districts, Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet. The ski resort itself however reaches down to the village Tignes les Brévières which is located at the reservoir Lac du Chevril. Old Tignes was flooded by the reservoir in the 1950s and the new Tignes was constructed 300m higher up. From Albertville Tignes is easy to reach on the National Road N90 via Moutiers and then further via Aime and Bourg-Saint-Maurice and finally Tignes where you can park your car and take the free shuttle bus to all the base stations in the different districts.
