Nice practicing are at the base

Like all skiresorts in New Zealand Turoa offers various facilities for a felicitous family ski vacation. At the base kids can take first steps on ski or board in the “Alpine Meadow” practicing area. The local ski school has its head quarters also right at the base and offers various day care programmes. As part of the “Beginner Packs” kids aged 4 to 8 can enjoy an convenient and funfilled introduction to snowsports. The “Kids Explorer” package aims at kids between 6 and 12 who are not completely new to skiing and boarding. If all family members have had skiing experience it should not be a problem to explore the terrain in the upper parts of the resort. Solely the difficult terrain (marked black) should NOT be ventured into by the offspring. Unfortunately Turoa lacks a kidspark, therefore top marks in the family category weren’t possible .
