The ski resort embedded between two mountains Schoberriegel (2208 m) and Rinsennock (2334 m) features many advantages for families with small children. Chances are you and your kids will never forget the dazzling mountain scenery surrounding you whilst skiing. At the base station of the so-called “Ottifantenlift”, a special lift just for kids and novice skiers, a small kids-park is installed. This beginner area is perfect for learning new skills that can get your children up and around the mountain. The local ski school offers some excellent ski and snowboarding programs. The 14 ski lodges and mountain restaurants see to the wellbeing of the whole family with hearty and reasonably priced meals. At sunny mountain terraces canvas chairs are available to enjoy the sun at one of the southernmost ski resorts of Austria. Furthermore the level of difficulty of most slopes is very family oriented. If your kids don´t have problems skiing intermediate level terrain the entire family can tap the whole potential of the ski resort without any problems. For very small kids and children with very little practice in alpine skiing we recommend to begin with the short practice slopes in the village and the ski tow lifts “Engänderlift” and “Ottifantenlift”.
