Resort Review Vals Jochtal - Beginners
The best choice for beginners in Eisack Valley!

|
Though not one of the larger ski areas in South Tyrol, Jochtal does have quite a bit to offer beginning winter athletes. The easy trails on the bunny slopes off Schwand are the perfect training terrain for beginners, and three tows (nos. 306-308) help make the first experiences on skis more pleasant. If you're feeling more courageous, you can move over to the other side of the ski area and test your abilities on some more challenging slopes. The blue sections of those trails as well as the reds around the Hinterberg chairlift (no. 304) shouldn't prove too problematic. The one trail that beginners should avoid at all costs is the extremely difficult black trail leading back to the base. Jochtal received a very respectable score of 4.5 stars in the Beginners' category.
