With only 20 kilometers of trails, Jochtal is the smallest of the three ski areas in the Eisack Valley!

The Eisack Valley in South Tyrol connects three different ski areas, with Jochtal as its smallest, with only 20 kilometers of trails. Gitschberg, the second of the three, is located only 10 km away, and has a total of 25km of trails. The third, Plose, is the largest of the three with 43km of trails, and is located 20km away from Jochtal. Eisacktal, where advanced skiers and sun-lovers all get their money's worth, is best reached by taking the Brennerautobahn (A13) and exiting at Brixen/Bressanone. After exiting the autobahn, follow the signs leading toward Brixen and then toward Vals/Meransen. Once you get to Vals, keep going about another kilometer until you reach the Jochtal gondola, where you'll find plenty of free parking. The eight-seater gondola, two chairlifts and four tows can transport up to 7600 visitors per hour into the ski area.
